What is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and how does it work?

Cognitive behavioral therapy

Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a form of talking therapy which can be used to treat people with a wide range of mental health problems.

CBT is based on the idea that how we think (cognition), how we feel (emotion) and how we act (behavior) all interact together.

Cognitive behavioural therapy can help you better deal with your problems by teaching you to change the way you think and act out. While CBT will not cure your problems, it gently trains you to nudge your thoughts into a more controlled direction. When faced with the same stressful situation the next time, your CBT training will let you respond in a more positive and productive manner.

CBT can help with depression, anxiety, and a wide range of other problems. CBT is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on how a person’s thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes affect their feelings and behaviors.

Control your thoughts, and improve the way you feel when you are overwhelmed or stressed or give in to negativity and it will affect all your life until you are trapped in a vicious cycle.
